Ooooklahoma

Phaedra here...

Get up early, ride in the truck, stop once in awhile for a break, setup camp after 400 miles and get up early the next morning and do it all over again. We did this through Tennessee and Arkansas and into Oklahoma. Mom and Dad hit that border and starting singing something about winds blowing in the plains.
We stopped in Oklahoma City because the folks are having water leakage problems in our camper. It still is not fixed so we will be here for at least 2 more days. This means we don't have to travel those 400 miles.

We did go for a ride to see the memorial for the Oklahoma City bombing. The folks were really moved. They also took us for walk in a park with huge sculptures for wagons and horses. But darn it all...usually when I go to the horse barn there's this great stuff on the ground to eat. These horses must be "park trained" maybe! Oh, well, my loss.

Today they left us all alone. Poor us. They went to see a Clydesdale Horse farm. Mom really liked it. Don't know what's next, but we'll know when it happens.

A Week of Learning

Phaedra here...

WOW!!! A new sister! I did NOT think I would like Zoe at first. All of these people came to see her. Everybody said how cute she was... blah blah blah. Hey, what about me???

But you know what, she is cute and she wants to play with me. We run and run, and I don't even mind when she grabs a mouth full of my hair. I heard Mom and Dad talking about leaving for our trip on May 27th. The camper is now in front of the house and they are loading it. It will be fun traveling again.

A New Home

May the 17th was the day I was added to a new family. I had been at the Collie Rescue of the Carolinas in Winston Salem. I thought Ms. Jean and all her friends were great. My mom and brother are still with her, too.

My new people parents had been there twice over the last month visiting me. They seem real nice. It was a long trip to my new home and I have a sister! Phaedra is a lot bigger than I am, but she likes me. What's not to like, anyway?

This is going to be a great place to live. They even have friends who brought me presents but that other dog likes to take them away from me. There were some nice laps to sit on so I think I'll stay.
